BUILDING A BETTER PORTFOLIO
MPI orginal red and black, at left. Our re-do shows the newer, softer colors. Although the former design was good, it was outdated, and needed a new logo. Real projects have a "before" and an "after", so why not create this for your own portfolio, using local companies in your area to re-do on your own?

Here are some ideas for you to create your own samples:

Lohan Custom Embroidery
Design a logo and identity for an embroidery company. The company currently has initials for it's "logo", so that needs to be redone. Your project should include:

  • Logo (suitable for color and black & white reproduction). The logo should either have a square and horizontal choice, or should look good used in a variety of formats and sizes.
  • Web site - design a home page to show what you'd like the site to look like.
  • Brochure - design a 3-panel brochure on an 8x11 sheet. The brochure should contain photos of embroidered items, information about the company, services they provided, and contact info.
  • Outdoor signage - design outdoor signage which uses your logo. Design the sign to be back-lit - so you're limited in color choices. Take a photo of a store front somewhere and place your new sign on the building to show how this imaginary businss would look.
  • Fleet graphics - design graphics for the owner's vehicle. Should it be one or two color vinyl, or full color labelling which covers a wide area? You decide. Get a photo of a truck, car or van and show how your design would look on the vehicle.
