In Process

Smaller projects abound this week - while they may be small design projects, they are critically important to developing and maintaining key markets for these two companies showcased above.

Projects:

Royal Case Company forges ahead to begin a teaser campaign to new propects, inviting them to order a product catalog. A postcard campaign is the next suggested project, to help ensure marketing success by familiarizing prospects with Royal Case. Another marketing venue for Royal Case is their well-established Asian manufacturing connection. (Royal Case is only U.S. manufacturer I know who has an American CEO living in Southeast Asia.) The Asian manufacturing know-how and communication is a needed service for U.S. companies who might otherwise spend a great deal of money on the learning curve associated with offshore production.

Metco's fall newsletter is ready for press and features some fun illustrations which help to make banking appear inviting, lively and more user-friendly. The custom illustrations are faster than looking up clip art and sifting through volumes of outdated and overpublished spot illustrations. I create these illustrations in Illustrator using art brushes, then add watercolor or pastel effects in Painter. The piggy bank is a good example of how illustration provided a 'perfect pig' and size for this application in the text. All of the clip art piggy banks either looked like real pigs (why??) or didn't have the pig looking happy that money was being put in the bank. Go figure?

Challenges:

  • Royal Case - adapting video footage for printing the Asian brochure
  • Royal Case - adapting our library of custom photography to work on an 8x11 layout tri-fold
  • Metco - custom illustration
