The 28-page Baby Cakes catalog is a specialty catalog which featured Zapf Creation products available only in North America. This catalog was created during the same timeline as the Colette and general Zapf Creation catalog for the Toy Fair, and was filled with late-breaking specials for buyers present at the trade show.

Challenges:

• Layout without knowing content or cover photo
• Tight deadline - 1 week turn-around

Solution:

• When products were selected, photos were slated to be used as filler if necessary. This usually required photo editing, such as with the doll dress on the upper right catalog page above. The doll dress was on a hanger, so the hanger was airbrushed out, and the dress shown at the full photo size.
